Burberry: Exclusive London Fashion Week Fall 2015 Coverage

When we think of classic British style, the image of a Burberry trench coat often comes to mind. While the trench still remains a staple in Burberry’s repertoire, designer Christopher Bailey continues to elevate the fashion house to new heights each season. This past week at the Fall/Winter 2015 shows in London, Burberry showed a highly textured collection with patchwork ponchos rendered in warm, autumn tones and an abundance of fringed suede.

The collection was titled Patchwork, Pattern & Prints, a name that perfectly captures the essence of the clothing. Paisley prints and sheet English laces evoked a Bohemian mood, and Burberry’s latest IT-bag, the fringed bucket bag, made its runway debut.

Faces of Burberry’s past and current campaigns were all in attendance showing their support, with front row guests such as Cara Delevingne and Kate Moss.

Gone are the days when fashion week was solely geared towards fashion insiders. Burberry’s mission to foster public involvement through the use of social media was taken up a notch this season. An interactive Twitter camera service during the show allowed guests to snap and tweet live shots of the runway, backstage moments were shared instantly through Snapchat and the show itself was broadcast live across the globe over Burberry’s website and various social media platforms. Keen customers don’t even have to wait for retailers stock the collection, as several key items were made-to-order, available directly through Burberry’s website until March 9.

In case you missed the live broadcasts, watch the below clip for an exclusive look at the Burberry fashion show, beginning with celebrity arrivals, through to the runway show itself. Plus, hear what designer Christopher Bailey had to say in a post-show interview.
