Wish List: Our Favourite Pieces from the Coach 1941 Spring 2017 Collection

There’s a whole lot of attitude injected into the Coach 1941 spring ready-to-wear collection. Inspired by rebels, beatniks and dreamers, and paying homage to Elvis, the lineup features a bevy of jackets, from embroidered varsity styles to studded leather bikers and Western-meets-seventies styles with loads of fringed leather. Quirky shark and dinosaur motifs pop up on vivid cashmere sweaters, and feminine floral dresses have been worked in cotton, silk and chiffon, and adorned with dainty lace. On the accessories front, bags and shoes come encrusted with studs and bits of hardware in all shapes and sizes. Highlighting the iconic craftsmanship of the all-American, 75-year-old brand, the mash-up of looks might be Stuart Vevers’—Coach’s executive creative director—boldest collection yet since the British designer joined the company back in 2013. Here are three star pieces we’re lusting after.
